jQuery: Jittery slideDown Animation
Posted on August 9, 2010, at 11:09 pm

Do you have jittery slideDown animations? Mine were “jumping” to completion when they were about 20% of the way from being finished. In my case, I was animating a div (with various elements/tags) inside of another div. After many hours of tinkering, I found a solution.

Try giving the parent div, the one that holds the div to be animated, a position of relative in its CSS declaration. Like this:

1
position: relative;

Small chance it’ll help you. But here’s hoping.
